Ithaca, NY – The Field Hockey team (0-3) fell to Ithaca College (5-0) on the road today, 4-0 in both teams first Empire 8 Conference game of the season. Lauren Thomas '14 had 12 saves in today's action.
 
For Ithaca, Olivia Salindong '16 and Lindsay Flanagan '14 picked up goals in the first half in today's game, while Amber Foose  '15 and Kelly Consadine '17 put two more in the back of the net in the second half.
 
Elmira had a team total of six shots in today's action; the offensive effort was lead by Alli Gilbert '16 who had three of the shots this afternoon. McKenna Light '14, Ashley Palmer '16, and Caitlin Sickau '16 all posted shot apiece in the game today. 
 
The Purple and Gold will look to turn things around when they host conference foes Nazareth College on September 21^st, in the Soaring Eagles home opener.
