Canton, NY -- The Elmira College women's soccer team (2-3) suffered their third loss of the season as they dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 23 nationally ranked St. Lawrence University (5-0-1).  Elmira's Danielle Fournier '15 made her third start in net for the Soaring Eagles this year, making six saves in today's loss.

The Saints of St. Lawrence wasted little time today as they scored the game's opening goal at the 6:10 mark.  St. Lawrence would score two more goals before the end of the half to take a 3-0 lead at halftime and would eventually score a late goal in the second half to defeat the Purple and Gold, 4-0.

Elmira will have a week to rebound from today's setback as EC opens Empire 8 Conference play against the Pioneers of Utica College on Saturday, September 21st at Campus Field in Elmira, NY.
