Following a scoreless first half, Hartwick would be the first to break through for a score as they went ahead 1-0 early in the second. However, Elmira's

Emily Kelly '14, who, after winning a ball in Hartwick's half of the field, sent a through ball to a streaking Hamilton who would finish the play by scoring on an open net.
The Hawks responded with another goal in the 74th minute to put Hartwick ahead 2-1. Hartwick's lead looked as though it would hold up for the win but EC's Kelly would deliver the equalizer in the 89th minute of play on an assist from captain
