Tanis Lamoureux '14, who would fire a shot that barely missed the target for the score. Oswego netminder, Trovato, made three saves during the closing moments of the period to as the game remained scoreless entering the first intermission.

EC's score came at the 11:46 mark of the period on a power play. Scoring the Elmira goal was Hogan, her team leading 11th of the season. Hogan's goal was setup by Ryan who sent a rocket toward the Oswego net, which was crowded with both EC and Oswego skaters. As the puck made its way on target, Hogan would deflect Ryan's shot, putting it top-shelf for Elmira's first goal of the game. Lamoureux and Ryan were credited with assists on the goal.
The Purple and Gold had a chance to take a two-goal lead into the third period when

In the third, Elmira weathered the Oswego attack, denying the Lakers on their attempts throughout the period. However, with just one minute remaining in regulation, EC would turn the puck over in their defensive zone, allowing Leslie Jarvis to launch a shot from the blue line for a goal. Jarvis' shot would make its way through traffic and find the back of the net on Marshall's stick side, tying the game at one apiece.
Things remained even for the last minute of play, which resulted in an overtime period. Neither team seemed to get things going in overtime until Oswego was assessed a slashing penalty at the 1:54 mark of the extra period.
With an extra attacker, Elmira's power play unit went to work for the eighth time of the game and would pepper the Oswego netminder, launching nine shots with five of them being turned away by Oswego's netminder.

Wilgosh netted the game-winning goal as she took a slap shot from the blue line, which would make its way through a crowd of Oswego and Elmira skaters to find the back of the net for the score.
