Elmira, NY -- The Elmira College women's soccer team will look to get back in the win column on Saturday, October 11th when the Soaring Eagles travel to Reading, PA to take on Alvernia University in a non-conference contest. The game is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m.
Last Time OutEC saw their record drop to 3-5-2 overall after falling to No. 23 SUNY Geneseo, 5-1, Wednesday afternoon. The Soaring Eagles limited Geneseo's high-powered offense to one score in the first half, but the Knights scored three goals in a 10-minute span in the second half to break open the game.

Alexa Barber '15. For Barber, her 77th minute goal is the first of her two-year Soaring Eagle career after she transferred to EC for the start of the 2013 season.
Series HistoryIt has been 14 years since Elmira and Alvernia University opposed one another as their only previous meeting came in the 2000 season. EC came out victorious in that matchup, winning 7-1.
Last Time OutThe Crusaders of Alvernia University enter Saturday's non-conference matchup with a 5-7 record following their 1-0 defeat to Widener University on October 7th. Widener opened the game with a goal in the 11th minute and then kept the Crusader offense at bay, allowing only five Alvernia shots on goal to secure the win.
Offensive LeadersThe Crusaders boast a balanced attack, with 10 players recording at least one point in 2014. Alvernia is led by Shannon Browne who has scored three goals and added three assists for nine total points. Right behind Browne is Alvernia's top goal producer, Taylor Landis, who has netted four goals for her eight points.
