Elmira, NY -- Coming off a 4-1 loss to St. John Fisher College, the Elmira College field hockey team will be competing in the EC women's final home game of the season on Saturday, September 25th against Empire 8 Conference opponent Houghton College at 1:00 p.m.

The EC women are ranked sixth in the country in saves per game with 13.71 while
Julie Hockenberger '18 is ranked 13th individually with 10.5.

The Highlanders hold a 7-2 all-time advantage over the Soaring Eagles. In the past two seasons, Houghton and Elmira have split games with both decided by one goal.
A Look At Houghton
The Highlanders of Houghton College are coming into today's game with a 3-12 overall record and a 0-6 mark in the Empire 8 Conference. Houghton started the season winning two of the first three games, but since then has won only one of the past 12. The Highlanders are coming off a 5-1 loss to SUNY Geneseo on October 21st. After falling behind 1-0, Alyson Demerchant '18 scored to tie the game at 1-1. Geneseo would go on to score four unanswered goals for the win.
