Rochester, NY --The Elmira College women's field hockey (2-14) fell to No. 19 University of Rochester (14-4) 6-1 this evening.  Hollie Gravelle '18 scored the first goal of her career in today's action.
 
The Yellow Jackets took a 4-0 lead just 10:24 into the first half. With just 3:03 left in the first half, Atupele Machika '18 found the ball in a scrum in front of the net and passed it over to Gravelle who punched it home to trail Rochester, 4-1. Mikayla Rebusmen '17 made nine saves in the half for the Purple and Gold.
 
The Soaring Eagles could not over come Rochester's offensive pressure as the Yellow Jacket's scored two more goals and outshoot the Purple and Gold 45-4 in the game. Julie Hockenberger '18 stopped 12 shots in the second half for the Soaring Eagles.
 
Today's game marks the final game of the 2014 season for the EC women.
