Elmira, NY -- The Elmira College women's ice hockey team is preparing for a weekend home-and-home series with ECAC West Conference opponent Utica College. EC will host the first game on Saturday, November 22nd before heading up to Utica to complete the series on Sunday, November 23rd. Both games will start at 3:00 p.m.

Welcome to the Club!
After recording an assist on Elmira's first goal of the game on Saturday, November 15th, Ashley Ryan '15 became the newest member of the Elmira College women's ice hockey 100-point club. Ryan is now one of nine EC women's ice hockey players to reach 100 career points. Prior to Ryan, the last Elmira player to reach 100 points was her former teammate, Tanis Lamoureux '14, who did it during the 2013-14 season.

Going for 50
Head Coach Dean Jackson'03, now in his third season leading the EC women's ice hockey team, enters this weekend of play with a career record of 49-11-2. If the Soaring Eagles defeat the Pioneers on Saturday, Coach Jackson will become the fastest Elmira coach to reach 50 career wins, doing so in only 63 games.

Series History
Elmira and Utica have an extensive history, playing at least twice per season since their first meeting in 2001. EC holds a significant advantage in the series, winning 28 of the 33 matchups for a 28-4-1 record overall. Additionally, the Soaring Eagles have won the last seven meetings by a combined score of 30-6.

Welcome Back
There will be a familiar face standing in the opponent's bench area this weekend as the Soaring Eagles welcome back former captain and 2014 AHCA All-American Tanis Lamoureux '14 to the Murray Athletic Center. Lamoureux, who helped lead Elmira to its third national championship in 2013, is in her first season as an assistant coach for the Utica College Pioneers.

Looking Ahead
Following Elmira's two-game set against Utica, the Soaring Eagles will travel to Plattsburgh, NY to compete in the Cardinal-Panther Classic. EC opens the Cardinal-Panther Classic against Middlebury College, who is ranked fourth in this week's USCHO National Poll.
