Looking to Break ThroughWith two wins through their first seven games, the Elmira men will be looking to get in the win column this Tuesday against Fredonia State. However, do not let Elmira's 2-4-1 record mislead you. Of Elmira's four losses, three were one-goal losses while the other was a two-goal loss. In total, Elmira has played in four one-goal games, two two-goal games, and one that ended in tie.
First on the BoardThrough Elmira's first seven games, the Soaring Eagles have been the first team to score just three times. In those three games, Elmira has produced both of their wins this season. Last season Elmira went 10-2-0 when scoring first and dating back to the 2011-12 season, the Purple and Gold are 28-12-2.
Road Trip ConcludesTuesday's non-conference tilt with Fredonia State marks the final game of a five-game road trip for the Elmira men. The Soaring Eagles have only played at home once so far this year and have played seven of their eight games away from the Murray Athletic Center Ice Arena.
