Elmira, NY -- The Elmira College field hockey team will try to use their 1-0 overtime victory at Wells College on Tuesday as momentum against the Utica College Pioneers tomorrow, September 20th. Tomorrow's contest will be played at Utica and is set to begin at 4:00 p.m.

Alli Gilbert '16 received a deep pass from
Sarah McCaffrey '18 and put it behind the Express' netminder to give the Purple and Gold a 1-0 overtime victory. Gilbert sent shots towards the goalie all day as she recorded seven shots with four on goal.
First Career ShutoutJulie Hockenberger '18 started in net for the Soaring Eagles against Wells College and made eight saves en route to her first career shutout win. The eight saves upped her season total to 38 and improved her record to 1-1.
All-Time SeriesSince the 2001 season, the Pioneers have held the series advantage, 7-6. Elmira has gotten the better of Utica as of late, going 2-1 against the Pioneers over the last three seasons. In the most recent matchup, UC edged the EC women 3-2. In that game, Gilbert scored both of the Purple and Gold's goals.
