Game DetailsFriday, Sep. 5 - Plattsburgh, NY - 7:00 p.m.
Live CoverageCoverage
Elmira, NY -- Coming off a season-opening tie against Bard College, the Elmira College women's soccer team will be looking to get into the win column for the first time this year as EC travels to take on Plattsburgh State on Friday, September 5th. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Last Time Out
The women's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie in their season opener against non-conference opponent Bard College last Saturday. EC struck first with a goal from newcomer Abby Saturni '18 in the 65th minute, but a quick answer by the Raptors tied the game at one. Neither team would score in the final 25 minutes of regulation or in the 20 minutes of extra time, leading to a 1-1 tie.

Welcome to the Show
Gabe Carmona '18 certainly made her first collegiate start in net count as the newcomer helped lead EC to a 1-1 tie against Bard. She made nine saves in all, including a handful of acrobatic saves that kept the Soaring Eagles in line for a result.

Leaving Her Mark
Newcomer Abby Saturni '18 came into last week's season opener a little banged up, leading to her coming off the bench in her first appearance with the Purple and Gold. Despite not being at 100 percent, Saturni made an immediate impact on the game as she netted her first career goal just minutes after coming onto the pitch in the second half.

Long Time No See
This is only the second time EC and Plattsburgh have faced each other in the last 15 years, with their previous meeting coming in the 2004 ECAC Tournament. The Cardinals came out on top of that match, 8-0, which was played in Plattsburgh.

A Look at Plattsburgh State
Plattsburgh enters this weekend of play with a 2-1 overall record after blanking SUNY Canton, 10-0 Wednesday night. Shutouts are a common theme for the Cardinals this season as all three matches so far have resulted in shutouts. Plattsburgh dropped their season opener 1-0 to Saint Lawrence University in the opening game of the North Country Classic on August 29th, but rebounded to earn a convincing 3-0 win over Clarkson University the following day.

Looking Ahead
EC will return to northern New York on Wednesday, September 10th when the Purple and Gold take on SUNY Potsdam in another non-conference matchup. The game will start at 7:00 p.m.
