Elmira, NY -- The Elmira College women's ice hockey team gets back to their ECAC West schedule this weekend with a pair of games at Neumann University. The Soaring Eagles and Knights play tonight at 7:00 p.m. and again tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.
Last Time OutThe Soaring Eagles picked-up a crucial 5-3 victory over No. 3 Norwich University last Sunday, moving their record against nationally ranked teams this season to 3-1-1.
Cassidy Delainey '15 scored twice in the first period, evening the score with each goal. Then, late in the second period,
Ashton Hogan '15 broke a 3-3 tie with her 16th goal of the season, netting the eventual game-winner with 4:50 left in the period.
First Time Since 2008-09EC's 5-3 win over Norwich was Elmira's second win over the Cadets this season, the other coming in both teams' season-opener at the East-West Classic on Norwich's home ice. This is the first time that EC has produced a season-sweep of the Cadets since the 2008-09 season, when the Purple and Gold took down Norwich twice by a combined 11-2 score.
100-Point TrackerAshton Hogan '15 enters Sunday's game with 94 career points on 58 goals and 36 assists. Hogan is just seven points shy of becoming the 10th Elmira player to reach the 100-point plateau. Teammate

High Power OffenseThe Soaring Eagle offense has been second to none through the first half of the 2014-15 season. In 12 games, Elmira has scored 66 goals, which places the Purple and Gold in a tie at the top of the national leaderboards with Wisconsin-Superior for most goals scored. Wisconsin-Superior, however, has scored their 66 goals in 18 games, an average of 3.67 per contest, while the Soaring Eagles continue to lead the country with 5.50 goals per game.
Scouting NeumannNeumann saw their two-game win streak come to an end in their most recent game, falling to Stevenson University, 6-1. Overall, the Knights are 3-10-1 on the season and hold a 1-7-0 mark in ECAC West play. Rookie Bek Lucas is leading the Neumann charge with 14 points on eight goals and six assists while Shanelle Doucette is right behind with 12 points on five goals and seven assists.
