Last Time Out
Elmira dropped a 4-0 decision on the road to conference rival, Hartwick College last Saturday. The Hawks bombarded the Soaring Eagle defense with multiple scoring opportunities, as Hartwick held a 26-to-11 advantage in shots. Hartwick's Allie Ricci broke through for the game's opening score in the 32nd minute before the Hawks added three more in the second half to seal the victory. EC's Amanda Banner '17 made nine saves in the contest.

Banner Reclaims Spot in Record Books
After making nine saves against Hartwick, her second-highest total of the season, Elmira's Banner moved back into 10th place in the program's all-time history in career saves. Banner sits on 169 career saves in her three-year tenure with the Purple and Gold, as she took over the 10th spot from current teammate Gabe Carmona '18, who has 164 career saves.

Scouting Fredonia
The Blue Devils enter tomorrow's contest with a 4-12-1 overall record after dropping its last two games to SUNYAC foes Oneonta State and SUNY New Paltz. Tomorrow's contest will also be Fredonia's regular season finale, as its last game against SUNY New Paltz wrapped-up conference play for the Blue Devils. Leading the way on offense this season for Fredonia has been Alexis Moreland, who has 20 points on eight goals and four assists. Moreland opened the year by scoring six goals in Fredonia's first five games but has since been limited to just two tallies in her last 12 appearances. Defensively, Kendall Owcarzak has been the go-to person between the posts this season with 130 saves and a 2.52 goals against average.

Series History
Since their first meeting in 1986, Elmira and Fredonia have faced each other 18 times with the Blue Devils holding a decisive 16-1-1 record in those meetings. Fredonia enters tomorrow's game having won seven straight games against the Soaring Eagles, with the last non-win occurring in 2006, which was a 1-1 double overtime tie. Elmira's last win dates back to 2004, when the Purple and Gold edged the Blue Devils, 1-0, at Campus Field.

Looking Ahead
Following tomorrow's non-conference tilt, Elmira returns home to Campus Field on Saturday, October 31st, when the Soaring Eagles face Alfred University in the 2015 season finale. Saturday's contest is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and will also be Elmira's Class of 2016 Recognition Day.
