Elmira, NY --
The 10th-ranked Elmira College men's volleyball team wraps up the 2016 regular season this Saturday, April 2nd, with a pair of non-league matches against Alderson Broaddus University and ninth-ranked Nazareth College. EC faces the Battlers of Alderson Broaddus at 1:15 p.m., before squaring off with the Golden Flyers at 3:30 p.m.

Last Time Out
The Soaring Eagles downed visiting Juniata College in four sets last Monday, March 28th, on a night that Elmira recognized its graduating members of the Class of 2016. EC claimed the opening two sets by identical 25-19 scores, before dropping the third, 25-23. Elmira bounced back in the fourth, rolling to a 25-14 win, which sealed Elmira's 21st win of the year and the team's first victory over the Eagles in program history.

Big Night for Best
In Monday's four-set win over Juniata, Jeremy Best '19 put forth one of the best performances a rookie setter has had in EC history. Best finished with a career-high 49 assists, which was the second-highest assist total by a rookie setter in Elmira's six-year history. He was three helpers away from tying AVCA All-American Michael Vellutato's freshman record of 52, set on March 29, 2011 against Thiel College.

Scouting the Battlers
Alderson Broaddus enters the weekend with a 9-11 record after picking up a four-set win over the University of Charleston on March 26th. The Battlers have won two straight and are 5-5 in their last 10 matches.
