Men’s Ice Hockey’s Battles Neumann & Manhattanville in Crucial ECAC West Weekend Series

ELMIRA, N.Y. --
 The Elmira College men's ice hockey team will look to keep its playoff hopes alive this weekend, as the Soaring Eagles host Neumann University and Manhattanville College in a pair of crucial ECAC West Conference contests. Elmira opens the weekend against Neumann on Friday, February 10th, before facing the Valiants of Manhattanville the following night at 7:00 p.m.
 
WEEKEND OVERVIEW                            
  • It's crunch time around the ECAC West Conference, as the Soaring Eagles look to make a late push to qualify for one of the remaining league playoff spots.
  • EC enters the weekend in seventh place in the conference standings with just three points separating Elmira from sixth-place Stevenson. Neumann is tied for fourth with Nazareth with 10 league points, while Manhattanville has already clinched a post-season berth with 16 points, good for second place.
  • The two games are part of a four-game homestand for Elmira, tying the team's season-long stretch of home games.

  • The Knights are 13-7-2 on the year with a 5-6-0 ECAC West record. Neumann enters the weekend tied for fourth place in the league standings with Nazareth with 10 conference points.
