LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. --
Four members of the Elmira College men's cross country team concluded their fall season at the 2018 NCAA Division III Atlantic Regionals on Saturday afternoon at the Gloucester County DREAM Park.

The Soaring Eagles, who were one runner short of qualifying for the final team standings, saw Owen Rose '22, Jarritt Himmelreich '19, Jonathan Muller '18, and Justin Gillule '19 represent the Purple and Gold in the eight-kilometer race.

Rose, a freshman from Sherrill, New York, was the quickest Soaring Eagle on Saturday. He logged a time of 31:42.10, an improvement of nearly one-and-a-half minutes from the Empire 8 Conference Championships two weeks ago. Rose began the race with a time of 5:45.00 at the first mile split, and within the final 1,000 meters, he climbed three spots up the leaderboard to snag 237th place out of 307 competitors.

The senior from Horseheads, New York, completed the race in a total of 34:40.10, which was nearly four minutes better than his performance last time out at the E8 Championships.
