ELMIRA, N.Y. -- The Elmira College women's lacrosse team was bested by the visiting Ducks of Stevens Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon by, a final score of 18-0 at Ernie Davis Academy.
The Soaring Eagles were unable generate much offense against Stevens, as the Ducks midfield maintained a firm hold on possession throughout the 60-minute affair. Turnovers loomed large for Elmira, as Stevens forced the Soaring Eagles into 24 miscues. EC received eight combined saves from
Kacie Pierce '21 and
Krystyna Lilland '21 in goal.
Mikayla Carfello '22 and
Kate Gibson'20 tested the Ducks' netminders with a pair of hard shots, but were unable to sneak the ball past the duo of Lauren Cunniff and Peyton Taylor.
