WILLIAMSPORT, PA. – The Elmira College men's wrestling program competed at the Lycoming College Invitational on Sunday as
Hollis Berry '25 and
Darius Green '24 notched multiple victories for the Soaring Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Wrestling in the freshman/sophomore 285-pound division, Green continued his strong start this season by notching three wins. He tallied a 3-2 decision in his first bout against Billy Reed-Bodey from Otterbein and followed with a 9-2 decision over Brock Hofler from York (Pa.).
Green would wrestle Abel Garantche from Otterbein in his third bout and record a 3-1 sudden victory.
Berry dropped his opening bout against Levi Kibler from Otterbein before rebounding to pin Justin Pena from Oneonta State at the 5:11 mark of the match. Berry closed his day wrestling in the freshman/sophomore 174-pound division by splitting each of his next two bouts including a pin against Joel Zea Marino from Oneonta State at the 4:04 mark.
O'Brien recorded a win in his first bout in the freshman/sophomore 141-pound division with an 8-7 decision over Anastasi Nelson from Washington & Jefferson. He would drop each of his next two matches via fall to close the tournament for Elmira.
Cardinale dropped consecutive decisions wrestling in the freshman/sophomore 125-pound division for the Purple & Gold. Cardinale would receive a bye to move into the second consolation round where he would be pinned to close his tournament run.
