ITHACA, N.Y. – The Elmira College men's wrestling competed in the NCAA Mideast Regionals hosted by Ithaca College this past weekend, February 27-28. The Soaring Eagles collected a 16
th place finish out of 20 teams, seeing Donovan Smith with a seventh-place finish overall in the 165-weight class.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Smith competed in the 165 bout and posted a 3-2 record on the day. In his first bout, he was seen posting a 9-2 major decision over his opponent. In his third match, Smith was seen recording an 18-1 tech fall over his opponent. In his fifth bout, he notched a 7-1 decision to claim seventh place.
- Cache Littrell competed in the 174-weight class and posted a 1-2 record on the day. His lone victory came in his second bout of the day where he recorded a medical forfeit from his opponent.
- John Robyck competed in the 285 bout and posted a 1-2 record on the day. His lone victory came in his second bout of the day where he recorded 14-4 major decision.
- Kolton Brown was seen representing the Soaring Eagles in the 133-weight class.
- Patrick Stauring was seen representing the Soaring Eagles in the 149-weight class.
- Kaiden Ellis was seen representing the Soaring Eagles in the 157-weight class.
