Men's Ice Hockey at Utica Suspended Due to COVID-19

UTICA, N.Y. -- Saturday night's United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) matchup between the Elmira College men's ice hockey team and Utica College was suspended during the second intermission due to COVID-19 protocols. No make up date has been scheduled at this time. 

Prior to the stoppage in play, Utica held a 5-2 advantage on the Soaring Eagles. Chance Gorman '24 and Shawn Kennedy '24 each scored goals for the Purple and Gold.

Gorman's goal was scored on the power play at 6:54 of the second period. Kennedy and Jordan Gonzalez '24 were credited with assists on the power-play goal. Kennedy's goal was at even-strength at 16:51 of the second period. Rookies Daniel Dimon '24 and Ryan Reifler '24 picked up assists on the tally. 

Through 40 minutes of action, EC's starting goaltender, Chris Janzen '21, amassed 24 saves.
