From there, Belmont tripled to right field, bringing home what would eventually be the game-winning run. After a clean bottom of the sixth for Sobel on the mound, Elmira's first four batters of the seventh inning were able to reach safely on their way to a three-run frame and a 6-1 victory.
In the game, Belmont, Martin, and Cortez each recorded a pair of hits.
In game two, Cortez got the start on the mound for the Soaring Eagles who were able to open the scoring in the top half of the first. After the first four of the inning reached safely, it was Madison Brown-Bloom who capped off the inning with an RBI single to put Elmira 1-0.
In the bottom of the first, the Hawks put up two against Cortez on a pair of hits. From there, Cortez would go four scoreless innings while Elmira retook the lead in the top half of the 5th inning. After Dinga singled to left to begin the inning, Martin would record a two-out double, bringing Dinga home to put EC ahead 2-1.
