JUST THE BASICS:
SCORE: Elmira 0, Hartwick 0
LOCATION: Elmira, NY. | Campus Field
TEAM RECORDS: Elmira (3-9-3, 0-5-2 E8), Hartwick (2-6-5, 0-2-4 E8)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Elmira's first and perhaps best chance of the game came in the 32nd minute on a Tierney Krawczyk '27 pass into the stride of Piper Andrews '26, who got behind the Hawks backline for a one-on-one with the Hartwick goalkeeper. After dribbling towards goal, Andrews put her shot wide right, and Elmira continued its search for an opener.
- That was the only shot of the first half for the Soaring Eagles, and both teams went into the break scoreless.
- EC's next big chance came just over 12 minutes into the second half when Sarah Wagner '24 intercepted the Hartwick goal-kick before trying a long-range shot, forcing a save.
- After a scoreless 89 minutes, EC got its final chance when Andrews dribbled past the Hartwick defender along the right touchline. Her cross came into the box and found Skyler O'Malley '26, who was able to head the ball on-target but only into the hands of the Hartwick goalkeeper.
- That proved to be the final chance of the match, and the contest ended in a scoreless draw.
- Krawczyk led the Soaring Eagles with three shots, one of which was on goal. Wagner was the other EC player with multiple shots, putting both her efforts on target.
- Goalkeeper Nevaeh Winston '25 kept the clean sheet for Elmira, recording five saves in the match.
