ELMIRA, NY. – Elmira took on Lycoming in a non-conference contest for its final match of the season. After going a goal down in the first half, the Soaring Eagles could not find the equalizer and dropped the game 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Elmira found itself trailing 26 minutes into the match when Lycoming dribbled past the Elmira defense on the left touchline before cutting inside along the goal line and crossing the ball into the box, which was tapped in for the opener.
- EC had a chance at the equalizer in the waning minutes of the first half on a free kick from midfield. Sophie Tarntino '25 sent the ball long towards Stefanie Hilty '27 on the right side, who crossed the ball to the back post looking for Faith Ingber '26, but the ball was just out of reach and it fell for a goal kick.
- Elmira entered the half trailing by a goal to nil.
- The Soaring Eagles had another look at goal in the 49th minute on a long-range shot by Sarah Wagner '24, who struck the ball well but right at the Lycoming goalkeeper, who collected the effort.
- Elmira's next shot on goal came in the 82nd minute on a Tierney Krawczyk '27 strike, hitting the ball cleanly from outside the box and forcing another save from the Warrior goalkeeper.
- The Soaring Eagles' final chance of the match came from an 89th-minute free kick by Wagner in a dangerous area, but her delivery flew out of reach of Elmira's players lined up in the box, and the ball went out for a goal kick.
- Elmira would not get another look at goal, and the Soaring Eagles dropped their season finale 1-0.
- Elmira had two shots during the match, both on target.
- Goalkeeper Nevaeh Winston '25 saved four shots in the contest.
