MeganRae Burke '24 registered a career-high 37 saves in the final game of the season for the Elmira College field hockey program as the Soaring Eagles dropped an 8-0 decision against Utica University on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Utica tallied the lone goal of the first quarter at the 11:47 mark as Alyssa Pisano found the back of the cage for the Pioneers.
- Burke would be busy between the pipes in the first quarter for the Soaring Eagles as she turned away 16 of 17 shots faced.
- The Pioneers tallied four goals in the second quarter to push their lead to 5-0 and would take that margin into halftime.
- Elmira would take a pair of penalty corners in the second corner along with a pair of shots that the Utica defense would block.
- Caitlin Ehlenfield '27 recorded the first shot on goal for Elmira in the third quarter as her attempt at the 38:45 mark would be denied by Utica's Goalkeeper Hannah Young.
- The fourth quarter would see Indigo Smallwood '27 register a shot on goal that would be turned away by the Pioneers at the 49:06 mark. Smallwood would have another shot blocked by the Pioneers just over a minute later in the frame.
