  • Elmira's goal would come with just 25 seconds remaining in the period after Amedeo Mastrangeli '24 found Daniel Dimon '24, who crossed the puck to Ryan Reifler '24 who would find the back of the twine with little to no room in front of the net.
  • The second period would go quietly for each team, as the Pilgrims and Soaring Eagles played scoreless, with the visiting squad outshooting Elmira 7-6 in the frame. New England College would have a power-play opportunity at the 11:01 mark as Matt York '26 was sent to the box on an interference call.
  • 30 seconds into the third period, the Grims had one of its best chances of the evening as a David Novotny shot found the pipe, but the puck would bounce out to the right.
  • At the 4:56 mark of the final period, Elmira added some much needed insurance as Janis Vizbelis '24 scored his third goal of the season in as many games on assists from Nicholas Domitrovic '24 and Shawn Kennedy '24.
  • After the Grims were forced a man-down after Cam Perez was sent to the box on a boarding call, it would take Elmira just 21 seconds to cash in on its first  advantage of the evening as Bailey Krawczyk '24 found the back of the net on assists from Domitrovic and Dimon to increase the Elmira lead to 3-0.
  • With just over six minutes remaining, the Soaring Eagles would get another advantage after Graham Hassan was sent to the box on a tripping call against Krawczyk. It wouldn't take long, as Elmira was right back into the scoreboard with another power-play score, as Domitrovic picked up his third point of the evening on assists from Krawczyk and Mastrangeli to increase the EC lead to 4-0.
