Mo McBride '27 netted her first collegiate goal as the No. 11 Elmira College women's ice hockey program recorded an 11-1 victory against Johnson & Wales in NEHC action on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Claire Meeder '23 and Erika Goleniak '25 opened the scoring for the Soaring Eagles in the first period as Meeder made it 1-0 at the 4:55 mark, while Goleniak followed at the 6:08 mark to increase the lead to 2-0.
- The Soaring Eagles blitzed the Johnson & Wales goal crease early in the second period as Elmira tallied four goals in the opening two minutes of action to increase the lead to 6-0.
- McKenzie Schmidt '25 tallied a power play goal just 18 seconds into the period to make it 3-0, while Goleniak followed with her second goal of the contest 52 seconds into the frame.
- Mo McBride '27 gave the Purple & Gold a 5-0 advantage with her first collegiate goal at the 1:24 mark which would be followed by Sabrina Shvartsman '25 netting EC's sixth goal.
- Alyana Toole '26 netted a short-handed goal later in the frame to make it 7-0, while Piper Andrews '26 found the back of the net with less than a minute left to make it 8-0 through two periods.
- Meeder opened the third period with a short-handed tally before Schmidt and Emily Lenzen '24 followed with power-play tallies to make it 11-0.
- The Wildcats would beat the final buzzer to break up the shutout bid as Harmony Chicoose pushed the puck into the back of the net with two seconds left on a 5-on-3 advantage.
- Chloe Beaubien '23 finished the night with 14 saves on 15 shots as she improved to 3-0-0 on the season for the Soaring Eagles. Madi Morton '24 finished the contest with four assists, while Emma Bradbury '26 added three assists. Holley Riva '23 suited up and skated in her 100th career contest for the Soaring Eagles.
