HOW IT HAPPENED:
Elmira would open the scoring in the top of the second inning after back-to-back singles from Ryan Trenholm '25 and Jared Money '22. With runners on the corners, Money would take off for second base and get into a run-down as Trenholm scored in the process to make it 1-0 with Money making it back to first base safely.

Keuka knotted the score 1-1 in the bottom of the frame against Elmira starter Ray Mineo '22 as a fielder's choice allowed a runner from third to score despite a play at the plate. The Wolves opened things up offensively in the third inning as they plated four runs to increase their advantage to 5-1.

The Wolves would add runs in each of the final three innings, including three in the bottom of the seventh inning to enact the 10-run rule as they secured the 11-1 victory against the Soaring Eagles. Elmira stranded 12 runners on base in the contest and left the bases loaded in the second and sixth innings. Trenholm finished with two of Elmira's five hits in the contest as Brett Warden '25 and Matteo Salvati '25 each registered one hit for the Soaring Eagles.

Mineo was handed with the loss for the Soaring Eagles after allowing five runs off eight hits through 3.1 innings of work, while Kade Cochran '26 worked 1.2 innings out of the bullpen and recorded three strikeouts with one run allowed.
