ELMIRA, NY. – The Elmira College women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision at Campus Field on Tuesday afternoon to the visiting Eagles from Juniata College. After going ahead 1-0 in the 34th minute of play after Ally Stilo '26 netted home a set piece off the foot of Emily Andersen '26, the Soaring Eagles would concede three straight goals, including a pair in the second half which would send Juniata home with the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Elmira's first chance of the match came at the 25:37 mark as Juniata's Alyssa Bui was called for a foul in the box, awarding the Soaring Eagles a penalty kick, which was eventually pushed wayward of the net.
- After continual back-and-forth play through the first 33 minutes of the half, the Soaring Eagles would be granted a free kick following a foul from Bui. With Andersen set for the kick, Stilo would make her way in front of the net, finishing the play to score the games opening goal, while Andersen would be credited with the assist.
- Mariah McDonald would answer just over ten minutes later for the Eagles, who scored its first of two goals of the evening off of a corner kick opportunity to tie the contest at 1-1.
- Tied going into the break, it would be McDonald again, scoring in the 64th minute of play on assists from Bui and Camille McRoberts on yet another corner kick opportunity. The goal would go down as the game-winner for the visitors.
- In the 71st minute of play, Juniata would be awarded a penalty kick following a foul in the box, which would be executed by Amelia Yordy to cap the scoring and send Juniata away with the 3-1 victory.
- Nevaeh Winston '25 would finish with three saves in net for the Soaring Eagles, while Juniata held the 5-2 advantage in corner kick opportunities.
