ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles were defeated 7-1 at home by the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Golden Eagles found the net early and often on Saturday, with the first goal coming just :57 into the game. Megan Gerber scored off a feed from Kaleigh Pettit.

Jaylah Cossin scored off an assist from Autumn Edwards, making it 2-0 Golden Eagles in the 16th minute. Another tally from Madison Hughes made it a three-goal deficit for EC after 23 minutes.

Mo McBride '27 found the back of the net for the Soaring Eagles in the 24th minute, marking just the third time Brockport has been scored against this season. McBride's goal was setup by Bella Thomas '28.

The Golden Eagles would net four more unanswered goals after McBride's second collegiate goal. A hat-trick by Amelia Breton and another goal from Maryalice Skutnik blew the game open in the second half.

Nevaeh Winston '25 (eight) and Miranda Waterman '25 (six) combined for 14 saves for the Purple & Gold.
