AURORA, N.Y. – Three runs between the seventh and eighth innings powered the Elmira College baseball program to a 4-1 victory in the season finale on Wednesday against the Wells College Express at the Wells College Turf Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Soaring Eagles would take a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning as Brady Buttice '26 delivered a double to left field to score Jacob Parker '25 from third base.
- Wells rallied to knot the score 1-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning against Elmira starter Kyle Tubbs '22 as a double to right field allowed a runner to come around and score.
- Elmira would answer with a run in the top of the seventh inning as Xander Canfield '26 doubled to right field to make it 2-1 as Gabe Fellows '25 scored for the Purple & Gold.
- Erik Charnetski '24 added to the Elmira lead with a sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning as Bryan Jimenez '25 scored to make it 3-1.
- Later in the eighth inning, Fellows notched a single to center field as Buttice scored to increase the advantage to 4-1.
- Tubbs improved to 2-1 on the season after allowing one unearned run off six hits to go along with three strikeouts through 6.1 innings of work. Michael Millross '24 closed the game out of the bullpen as he tossed 2.2 scoreless innings to go along with three strikeouts.
