ITHACA, N.Y. – The Soaring Eagles women's soccer team kicked off its season on Friday afternoon with a trip up Route 13 to Ithaca College. The Bombers were able to tally a goal in the first 32 seconds of the contest which would go down as the eventual game-winner in Ithaca's 6-0 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bombers would see a tally at the 32 second mark in the first half after Ali Amari found Ella Shorkey for the score, slotting it past Elmira goalkeeper Nevaeh Winston '25 for the early score.
- It would take Ithaca another 18 minutes as Kaelyn Fernandez scored her first of two goals in the half, with the second coming at the 24 minute mark to make it 3-0.
- From there, Ithaca would see a 29th minute goal from Sarah Sinnott, who finished into the upper left corner to put the Bombers ahead 4-0.
- From there, The Bombers would see goals from Jayne Bogle and Allie McCabe in the 31st and 40th minutes, respectively, which would ultimately conclude the scoring for the first half, and the remainder of the game.
- Winston finished the contest with 15 saves in 79:06 of work, while Miranda Waterman '25 made one save in 10:54 to conclude the contest.
- Elmira was outnumbered in corner kicks 14-1 during the contest.
