POTSDAM, N.Y. – Despite trailing 2-0 in the contest, the Elmira College men's ice hockey program rallied for three goals in the third period to secure a 4-2 victory against the SUNY Potsdam Bears on Tuesday in a non-conference matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
	- The Bears scored at the 16:35 mark of the first period after weathering several shots on goal by the Soaring Eagles. Jakub Hall's goal for the Bears would be the only scoring through the opening 20 minutes of action.
- Potsdam added to its lead just under eight minutes into the second period as Mason Hoehn found the back of the net to make it 2-0 in favor of the Bears.
- The Soaring Eagles would find a spark late in the second period courtesy of a shorthanded goal at the 17:08 mark from Bailey Krawczyk '24. Krawczyk's seventh shorthanded goal of his career would trim the deficit to 2-1 as Nathan Young '25 notched the assist for Elmira.
- Joel Pavey '25 opened the scoring in the third period for the Soaring Eagles as his goal at the 6:23 mark knotted the score 2-2. Carter Wisely '25, and Cam Lowe '28, recorded the assists on Pavey's first goal of the season.
- Tyler Schwindt '26 would give Elmira its first lead of the contest as his first goal of the season at the 8:05 mark made it 3-2. Kyle Hughes '28, recorded his first collegiate assist on the play, while Young added his second helper of the contest for the Soaring Eagles.
- Elmira would close the scoring at the 15:41 mark of the third period as Myles Yearwood '28 tallied his first collegiate goal to give the Purple & Gold a 4-2 advantage.
- Making his first start between the pipes since November, Kyle Curtin '26 made 32 saves on 34 shots, including 15 in the second period, to record his first win of the season for the Soaring Eagles. Elmira finished the game with a 37-34 advantage in shots, while both teams could not convert on the power play.
