NCAA Regional Hosted at LECOM Event Center Highlights 2025-26 Women's Wrestling Schedule

ELMIRA, N.Y. – Elmira College Head Women's Wrestling Coach Cody Griswold has officially announced the Soaring Eagles' 2025–26 Elmira College Women's Wrestling schedule, which is highlighted by Elmira College playing host to the first-ever NCAA Women's Wrestling Regional Tournament, which will take place at the LECOM Event Center in Elmira. The Soaring Eagles, who won the NCWWC Region I Tournament a season ago, will now look to make history as women's wrestling is an NCAA Championship sport heading into the 2025-26 season.

The Soaring Eagles will open the season on Sunday, November 2, at the East Stroudsburg Open, a staple early-season test featuring some of the top programs in the Northeast. Elmira will remain on the road to face Ithaca College on November 12, before returning to tournament action at the Wilkes University Open on November 15.

Rounding out November, Elmira heads back to East Stroudsburg for the ESU Dual Tournament on November 23, offering another valuable midseason preview against regional opponents. The team closes the fall portion of its schedule in December with a dual at Lock Haven on December 4, followed by the AMCC Conference Duals at Penn State Altoona on December 6.

Heading into the New Year, the Soaring Eagles return to the mat at one of the nation's premier collegiate events — the National Duals Meet Championships, held January 9–10 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Elmira continues its midseason push with the Will Abele Invitational at Ursinus College on January 17, followed by a high-profile appearance at the Journeymen Duals in Albany on January 24, where EC will face nationally recognized programs including Iowa, King University, Sacred Heart, and Gannon.

The Soaring Eagles will then host home competition on January 28, welcoming Utica University and Ithaca College to Speidel Gymnasium. The regular season concludes on February 7 with the AMCC Conference Tournament at Alfred State College.

Postseason action begins with the NCAA Regional Tournament, hosted by Elmira College at the LECOM Event Center on February 21–22, marking a major highlight of the schedule as the Soaring Eagles welcome the region's best programs to their home city. Qualifiers from regionals will advance to the NCAA National Tournament at Extreme Arena in Coralville, Iowa, on March 6–7, where Elmira aims to capture national recognition.
