Elmira, N.Y. - The Elmira College men's soccer team had four players who were honored on the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The four Soaring Eagle athletes that were honored include Juan Ortegon, Pietro Gallina, Ole Esselmann, and Jhoan Chavez.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

To qualify, a student-athlete needs to have a least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.
