HOUGHTON, NY – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles traveled to Houghton on Wednesday night for a non conference matchup with the Highlanders. EC came away with a 3-0 victory and its 12th consecutive victory, extending its program-record win streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Luke Jata '27 (nine), Paten Buckwalter '28 (eight), and Drake Connors '28 (seven) filled the void left by Jordan Peiser '24, leading the Soaring Eagles in kills in the match.

Caden Sims '28 finished with a career high eight service aces. Max Cohen '25, Dylan Vargas '27, and Jata each finished with a service ace as well.

Cohen and Nick Rohman '28 tied for the match lead with 15 assists each. Connor Barton '27 had five assists and Cache Littrell '27 also finished his night with a helper.

Buckwalter's eight kills yielded a .583 hitting percentage. Jayden Long '28 (two), Vargas (two), Ethan Davenport '28 (one), and Jata (one) all finished with blocks in the contest.

Jata's 10.5 points led EC.

Elmira will travel to Buffalo State this weekend to take part in a tri match, where the Soaring Eagles will go for wins 13 and 14 against Geneva College (2:00 p.m.) and Thiel College (4:00 p.m.) on Saturday.
