PINE VALLEY, NY – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles wrapped up their 2024-25 with an overtime win over the Vermont State University Castleton Spartans, 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Eric Bertelsen '28 opened the scoring for the Soaring Eagles 59 seconds into the game, taking a feed from
Shane Haviland '24.
Ryan Reifler '24 scored with 37 seconds left in the first period on the power play. Haviland and
Cole Tucker '25 picked up assists on Reifler's marker.
The Spartans scored midway through the second period, shrinking the Soaring Eagles' lead to 2-1.
Chance Gorman '24 scored with 1:53 remaining in the final frame, restoring EC's two-goal lead. Reifler got the assist on his linemate's goal.
Two goals for the Spartans in the third period sent the game to overtime tied at three.
Bailey Krawczyk '24 won the game 74 seconds into overtime for the Soaring Eagles.
Nathan Young '25 and
Carter Wisely '25 made up the trio on the ice and got assists for the captain's game winner.
