FAIRFAX, VA – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles wrapped up their opening weekend trip to Virginia today with a 6-3 loss to the Ursinus College Bears.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
A three-run seventh inning for the Bears proved to be the difference in this afternoon's contest.
The Bears scored one run in the first, third, and fifth innings before doubling their total in the seventh.
Gabe Fellows '25 finished the game with one hit, a run scored, a pair of runs batted in, and reached after being hit by a pitch. Xander Canfield '26 finished the game with two base knocks and Matteo Salvati '25 had the Soaring Eagles' other hit.
Logan Pizzullo '25 was hit with the loss for Elmira as he went four innings allowing three hits, three runs (two earned), walked three, and struck out a pair of Bears. Hollander went five innings for the Bears and only allowed two hits while walking one and striking out four.

Elmira will travel down south to Myrtle Beach, SC next week to resume its schedule. Games begin at 4:00 PM on Monday, Mar. 3.
