HOW IT HAPPENED:
A four-hit effort from the Soaring Eagles was not enough to keep up with the Statesmen's offense in this matchup.

Lowry was hit with the loss for EC, as he went an inning and a third, allowing two hits, five runs, one earned run, and hit three batters. Tarrant earned the win for Hobart, pitching five shutout innings for the Statesmen. At the time of his exit, Tarrant had only allowed three hits and walked a pair while striking out four.

Logan Pizzullo '25 started on the hill for the Soaring Eagles, lasting two scoreless innings while allowing only two baserunners.

Hobart did most of its damage in the fourth inning, during which it scored four runs. Already ahead 1-0, a two-run single for catcher Jay Voica, who was thrown out at second base, was followed by a sacrifice fly off the bat of Nate Johnson. With the score now 4-0, Connor Schmiedlin singled home another run, making it 5-0 Statesmen in the fourth.

An RBI triple from Will Johnson in the sixth resulted in the 6-0 final.
