Caitlin Ehlenfield netted her second goal of the season for the Elmira College women's lacrosse team as the Soaring Eagles dropped a 17-1 decision on Friday against the Alfred University Saxons at Campus Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Elmira looked to knot the score early in the first quarter following a goal by the Saxons as Kayla Neer had a shot ring off the post at the 13:44 mark.
- Neer would have another chance in the final second of the first quarter as Alfred goalkeeper Molly Howlett would stop her shot.
- Gabby Bradigan had a free position shot denied by Howlett with 11:08 remaining in the second quarter.
- Caitlin Ehlenfield would get the Soaring Eagles onto the scoreboard with 2:04 left in the third quarter.
- Ehlenfield paced Elmira with five groundballs in the contest, while Kelsey Stewart and Neer each added four.
- Mallory Schultz and Brianna O'Drain were both responsible for a pair of caused turnovers for the Purple & Gold, while Reese Bowen made her first start at goalkeeper for EC and finished with 10 saves.
UP NEXT: The Soaring Eagles return to Campus Field on Saturday, April 5, for a noon matchup against Cedar Crest College.
