GLOUCESTER, Mass. – The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) is once again recognizing varsity ice hockey players who compiled exceptional results in the classroom during the 2024-25 season with the announcement of the ninth annual "Krampade All-American Scholars." To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester, and had to appear in 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA.
The names of 1,123 Division II-III men (664) and women (459) are being released today, their Division I counterparts being announced last week. The number of athletes who not only earned this academic status, but were also voted as CCM/AHCA All-Americans for their on-ice play is 24.
From the men's side, Eric Bertelsen '28, Owen Halloran '28, Shane Haviland '24, Myles Yearwood '28, and Nathan Young '25 were represented.
On the women's side, Annie Audet '28, MK Boyle '26, Sophie Compeau '25, Abby Eselunas '28, Sophie Gregory '26, Emily Lenzen '24, Katie Manning '25, Mandy McCarrick '25, McKenzie Schmidt '25, Sara Sevcikova '28, Sabrina Shvartsman '25, and Alayna Toole '26 each received the honor. Compeau, Manning, and McCarrick, and Shvartsman, each earned their third Scholar-All American honors from the AHCA.
