ELMIRA, N.Y. – Entering his second season as the head coach of the Elmira College Men's Soccer team, Jim McIntyre has announced the 2025 Soaring Eagles schedule. This year's schedule includes nine away games and eight home contests at Elmira's Campus Field. Elmira aims for a third consecutive appearance in the Empire 8 Championship after facing St. John Fisher in the past two years.  

Elmira kicks off its 2025 campaign with four non-conference matches, beginning with an away game against Keystone College on Sunday, August 31. The Soaring Eagles hold a 5-1 record all-time against Keystone, with this being their first meeting since 2022. Elmira then travels to Ithaca College on September 3 before hosting the Oswego State Lakers for its home opener on Saturday, September 6, at 3:00 p.m. 

Penn College hosts the Soaring Eagles on September 9, while Elmira begins Empire 8 Conference play at home against St. John Fisher on Saturday, September 13, at 4:00 p.m. The Purple & Gold then welcome Bryant & Stratton (Rochester) on September 17, followed by SUNY Poly for an E8 contest at Campus Field on September 20.

The Soaring Eagles close the month with two away matches against Russell Sage on September 24 and Utica on September 27. Elmira begins October with two consecutive home games as Alfred University visits Campus Field on October 4, followed by Hartwick on October 8. The Soaring Eagles and Hawks have faced each other in the Empire 8 Semifinals over the past two seasons, with Elmira winning both times.

Elmira's E8 slate continues with back-to-back road games against SUNY Geneseo on October 11 and Keuka on October 15. The Purple & Gold host SUNY Brockport on October 18 before traveling the following week for a non-conference game against Alfred State on October 22. 

The final regular-season road game is against Nazareth on October 25, while the home finale for the Purple & Gold is against Houghton on October 29. Last season, Elmira avenged a Senior Day loss to Nazareth with a 2-1 win over the Golden Flyers in the Empire 8 Quarterfinals. 

The 2025 Empire 8 Tournament is scheduled for November 1-8 and will include three rounds. The championship game is set for Saturday, November 8, at the highest seed.
