HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The two teams battled back-and-forth over the first 19 minutes before the Bengals' Olivia Kilmer notched her third goal of the season on a corner kick assisted by Emily Maczka.
  • The Soaring Eagles responded less than five minutes later with Chunco's first goal of the season. She was able to slip behind the defenders and coral a cross from Isabella Reuter '27 and bury it into the back of the net.
  • Buffalo State made it a 2-1 game in the 40th minute on a goal from Lilly Jarozewski and carried that lead into halftime.
  • In the second half Elmira scored three unanswered goals, starting with a quick 46th minute goal from Faith Ingber '26, that would be setup by Reuter, to even the score 2-2.
  • Chunco doubled her tally and scored what would prove to be the game winning goal just six minutes later. Chunco fired a low shot in the 52nd minute that ricocheted out to Ingber who tapped a pass back to Chunco and she netted the shot in the lower right corner for the 3-2 lead.
  • Chunco added to her point total in the 77th minute with a cross from the far-left corner that Emily Seiler '28 was able to get onto and sink into the back of the net. The goal from Seiler iced the game away for the Soaring Eagles as they took the 4-2 victory.
