ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's volleyball team hosted Wilkes University and the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in a Tri-Match on Saturday. The Soaring Eagles fell 3-0 in the first match to the Colonels and then 4-1 in the matinee against the Panthers.

HOW IT HAPPENED (ELMIRA vs. WILKES):
- The Soaring Eagles fell early to Wilkes at 4-1, but later in the set rattled five-consecutive points to come within two at 15-13 but that was as close as the Soaring Eagles would get after a 25-18 first-set loss.
- The second set was tied 3-3 when Wilkes got 10 of the next 12 points at 13-5 before registering another 25-18 set win.
- In the third set and trailing 6-3, EC put together a five-point run midway through the set to take a 10-9 lead. Elmira was knocking at the door with a 23-18 lead late before the Panthers took the last seven points for the set at 25-18.
- Aimee Bridges '29 had a team-high six kills, while Ivanna Torres Cuevas '28 registered a pair of aces.
- Alyson Hagberg '26 finished with 11 assists and Gabriela Rodriguez '26 collected nine digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED (ELMIRA vs. PITT-BRADFORD):
- The first set was extended and Elmira was at set point before surrendering the final three points to fall 29-27.
- The second set went back-and-forth early with five ties and the last one coming at 9-9 before the Panthers took control with a 25-20 set win.
- Trailing 7-5 in the third set, EC put together six consecutive points and never looked back for a 25-20 victory.
- The fourth set was back and forth with EC trailing 14-11 before the Panthers scored the last 11.
- Erin Bracken '28 finished with a team-best 15 assists while Rodriguez led the team in digs with 10 and aces with two.
- Morgan Sica '28 had a team-best seven kills while Lilyanah Doolittle '29 finished with three blocks.
