ALFRED, N.Y. – Alfred State netted a goal in the third minute of action as the Pioneers would go on to record a 2-0 victory against the Elmira College women's soccer program on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Isabella Hoffmann netted her first goal of the night at the 2:36 mark to give Alfred State a 1-0 lead against the Soaring Eagles.
- Elmira had a pair of opportunities to knot the score in the 21st minute as Alfred State goalkeeper Chloe Baker denied a pair of shots from Isabella Reuter '27 and Dani Cruz '29.
- Cruz had a pair of shots denied by Baker later in the half, while Faith Ingber '26 had a scoring opportunity thwarted in the 38th minute.
- Alfred State doubled its lead in the 78th minute with Hoffmann finding the back of the net once again for the Pioneers.
- Bella Thomas '28 and Tierney Krawczyk '27 both had a pair of scoring chances that Baker would turn away.
- Elmira goalkeeper Sarah Cantrell '29 finished the contest with three saves on five shots, while the Soaring Eagles held a 10-5 advantage in shots on goal.
