2012-13 Season
Burnell was a key factor for the Soaring Eagles during his second season making 24 appearances leading the team with eight goals, 16 assists and 24 points. He also led the team in conference play with five goals, 10 assists and 15 points which helped him earn ECAC West All-Conference Honorable Mention. He finished the season ranking fourth in conference for points scored averaging 1.07 points per game, while ranking third in assists scored averaging 0.71 assists per game. His best performance came on Jan. 17th against Nazareth College where he registered two goals, two assists and four points. 

2011-12 Season
Appeared in 17 contests during his inaugural season with the Purple and Gold registering six points on three goals and three assists. He was named ECAC West Rookie of the Week on Nov. 6^th.
