2020 Season
Played in two matches before the season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic...Logged one kill, one ace, and one dig in two sets against No. 9-ranked St. John Fisher (3/11).
2019 Season
Appeared in 14 matches as a rookie...Tallied 30 kills and 16 blocks...Registered a season-high seven kills while hitting at a .600 clip in a three-set sweep of Bard (2/22)...Added five kills and three blocks in a 3-2 triumph over Augustana (Ill.) (2/23)...Floored five kills in a 3-0 victory over D'Youville (3/16)...Posted a season-best four blocks to go along with four kills in a 3-0 win against UVC foe Sage (3/30).
Before Elmira
Played basketball and volleyball at Wethersfield High School in Wethersfield, Connecticut...Helped Wetherfield reach the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) state championship tournament...Earned All-Conference and All-State honors for volleyball...Was an All-Academic Team recipient for both sports.
Personal
Matt is a double-major in Economics and Finance. He joins his older brother, Joseph Amoddio '21, as a member of the Elmira College volleyball team.
