2011-12 Season
As a co-captain, Alex appeared in 14 of the 26 games for Elmira College… She tallied five points on two goals and three assists… She received three awards for her efforts on and off the ice this season… This includes being named to the ECAC All-Academic Team, receiving the Purple and Gold Leadership Award, and the Margaret Locke Citizenship Award… During her four year career with Elmira, Alex has notched 18 points on six goals and 12 assists.
2010-11 Season
Appeared in all 26 games for the Purple and Gold, registering one goal and two assists, both in conference play… McPhail tallied the game-winning goal November 19th against Cortland.
2009-10 Season
Appeared in 29 games in her second season with the Soaring Eagles, recording one goal and two assists in ECAC West Conference play.
2008-09 Season
Played in all 30 games for EC in her inaugural season… She scored two goals and had five assists for seven total points… Alex scored the game-winning goal in a 4-1 win over Buffalo State on November 8th, which helped her be named the ECAC West Rookie of the Week November 11th.

Alex is a Psychology, Anthropology & Sociology major as well as a Mark Twain scholar.
