Empire 8 President's List (Spring 2020)

2020 Season
Saw action in five games out of the bullpen in the shortened 2020 campaign...Struck out two batters in a total of 9.2 innings on the mound...Tossed a season-high 3.0 innings against Bates (2/17)...Did not allow a hit or run in 2.0 scoreless frames at McDaniel (2/19).

2019 Season
Pitched in seven games out of the bullpen...Went 0-1 with five strikeouts in 8.1 frames...Ended his season with consecutive scoreless outings...Did not allow a hit at SUNY Canton (4/29) in 1.1 innings...Tossed a season-high 1.2 innings of one-hit ball in his final appearance at Scranton (5/2).

2018 Season
Posted a 1-0 record in six relief appearances, the lone freshman to record a victory on the mound in 2018...Allowed nine earned runs with five strikeouts in 7.2 innings for a 10.57 ERA...Had consecutive scoreless innings against Utica (3/31) and Keuka (4/26)...Worked a perfect 1-2-3 eighth inning against the Wolves...Earned the win in a 14-10 extra-inning triumph over Alfred State (5/1) after allowing two runs (one earned) with two strikeouts in a season-high 2.0 innings.

Before Elmira
Was a three-sport student-athlete at Onondaga Junior-Senior High School in Nedrow, New York, where he played baseball, basketball and golf...Was a two-time OHSL Patriot League First-Team selection, earning the award as a junior in 2016 and during his senior season in 2017...Compiled 143 strikeouts in 105.1 innings of work...Tossed a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts to lead Onondaga past Cato-Meridian in the season-opening game as a senior.

Alex is majoring in Biology. He is also a member of the EC men's golf team.
