Caron enters his third season working with the Soaring Eagles. Caron directly overseas goaltender development through on ice instruction and video analysis. Caron also serves as a strong mentor to the program having played 6 seasons in the NHL, capturing a Stanley Cup & Spengler Cup, being selected to the NHL All-Rookie Team and playing 17 years professionally in total.
 
Caron was a fourth-round draft pick, 86th overall, by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. During the 2005-06 season, in a game against the Philadelphia Flyers, Caron gained national attention through his great save against Brian Savage. Before being drafted, Caron won a CHL Memorial Cup with the Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL. During the Memorial Cup Tournament, Caron posted a .952 SV%, was tabbed as the CHL’s Most Outstanding Goaltender and named to the Memorial Cup All-Star Team.
