Linsey Gabris, current Director of Racquet Sports at nearby Elmira Country Club, joined the Elmira College men’s and women’s tennis programs as a volunteer assistant coach in January of 2018.
Before relocating to the Southern Tier, Gabris served as a teaching profession for Cliff Drysdale Tennis a pair of pristine resorts: the Bachelor Gulch Village in Avon, Colorado, and the Omni Amelia Island Plantation in Fernandina Beach, Florida. At both locations, she was responsible for the organization of camps and clinics and taught private lessons for all age groups.
A 2017 graduate of Methodist University, Gabris received a bachelor’s in Marketing with a concentration in Professional Tennis Management (PTM). While studying at Methodist, she earned a pair of varsity letters as a member of the Monarchs’ women’s tennis team and held summer positions at the Philadelphia Cricket Club, Sea Pines Racquet Club in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and the Highland Country Club in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
A native of Egg Harbor City, New Jersey, Gabris is certified with the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), and United States Racquet Stringers Association (USRSA), and has gained experience in clay court maintenance, facility management, and pro shop operations through the PTM program.
